If you live in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Birmingham — or anywhere across England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland — and you want to understand the feng shui energy of your home for 2026, this free analyzer is built for you. It uses the same Classical Flying Star (Fei Xing / 飛星) method I apply when I fly in to audit British homes in person, just packaged as a free browser tool.
Most "feng shui apps" you'll find on the App Store use a flattened Western interpretation of the system — lucky cats, colour rules, generic placement advice. The 2026 Feng Shui Analyzer follows the original classical method that practitioners actually use in paid audits, with optional 24-Mountain compass precision for serious users.
Why feng shui works for British property types
British homes present some specific feng shui considerations that the analyzer handles naturally:
- Victorian and Georgian terraces often have a long, narrow rectangular footprint with the front door facing the street. The Flying Star grid is direction-agnostic — whether your front door faces north or south, the analyzer maps the same nine stars onto your actual orientation.
- Modern flats in London, Manchester and Birmingham work fine as a single floor plan. Upload the layout, mark the front door (the main entry into the flat, not the building lobby), and read the result.
- Period country houses in the Cotswolds or Edinburgh's Georgian New Town often have multiple wings. The "Add another floor" feature handles multi-storey homes properly, one floor at a time.
- Newer apartment developments often have unusual angled walls and curved windows. The analyzer's 24-Mountain (0–359°) input gives you the precision to map oddly-shaped layouts correctly.
How to use a compass app correctly in the UK
The single most important data point for the analyzer is your home's facing direction — the direction your front door points outward to. To measure it:
- Stand inside your home, facing your front door from inside.
- Hold your phone flat, screen up.
- Open the iPhone Compass app (or any free compass app on Android).
- Note the bearing in degrees. North is 0°, East is 90°, South is 180°, West is 270°.
- That bearing IS your facing direction. Enter it into the analyzer's Advanced (24-Mountain) input, or pick the matching cardinal direction.
UK-specific note: magnetic declination in the UK is currently about 1–2° west of true north. For Classical Feng Shui purposes use the magnetic bearing your compass shows directly — Classical Feng Shui calculations have always used magnetic, not true, north.
What 2026 means for British homes specifically
2026 is a Bing Wu Fire Horse year in Period 9 of the Three Era Nine Cycle. The annual stars apply equally everywhere on Earth (this is universal classical metaphysics, not regional folklore), so the same 9-Palace map that affects a home in Kuala Lumpur affects a home in Kensington.
That said, three points British homeowners should pay attention to:
- The 5 Disaster star is in the South. If your living room, master bedroom or front door sits in the southern sector of your home, do not undertake major renovation in that area in 2026. Many UK homes built between the 1930s and 1960s have south-facing reception rooms — be cautious about disturbing those spaces this year.
- The 8 Wealth star is in the East. Use the eastern sector for active spaces — your home office, your kitchen, your daily activity. Money flows toward whatever this star touches.
- The 2 Sickness star is in the North-West. The NW is the position of the patriarch (head of household) in classical feng shui. UK homes where the master bedroom is in the NW corner should consider a metal cure — six brass coins, a metal wind chime, or a salt-water cure — for 2026.
About Daniel Siew — UK consultations
I'm a Malaysian-born Classical Feng Shui consultant. My UK practice covers London, the Home Counties, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Birmingham, with on-site audits across England, Scotland, and Wales. I've appeared on UK Health Radio and have consulted for British families on property purchases, renovations and business decisions.
I work in two modes for UK clients:
- Online via Zoom — a 60-minute consultation works for most flats and standard homes. Send floor plan, compass reading, photos. Most UK clients prefer this for the convenience.
- On-site audit — I fly in for large country houses, multi-property portfolios, or commercial premises. Travel from KL adds about £800 to the consultation fee but is worth it for complex sites.

Open the Feng Shui AnalyzerUK feng shui FAQ
Is feng shui taken seriously in the UK?
Yes, particularly in property circles and among British-Asian families. Classical Feng Shui (the original system, not the pop-culture version) has been studied at SOAS, University of London and other academic institutions as a discipline of Chinese geomancy. Many UK property developers commission feng shui audits for high-end residential projects targeting Asian buyers.
Do I need a Chinese compass for the analyzer?
No. A standard phone compass app is perfectly sufficient. The analyzer accepts either an 8-cardinal direction or an exact 0–359° bearing — both work with a Western compass reading.
Will the analyzer work for a Grade II listed building?
Yes. The analyzer is method-agnostic about building age and style. It works on any floor plan — modern, listed, or anything in between. What matters is the orientation of the front door (or main facing wall) and the layout of the rooms.
Can you do an on-site audit in the UK?
Yes — book a consultation. For London and the Home Counties I can usually arrange on-site within 4–6 weeks. For Scotland, Wales and the north, I batch UK trips to minimise travel cost for clients.
