The short answer
The BaZi year turns on 4 February 2027 (Li Chun, 立春). From that day the year is Ding Wei (丁未), the Fire Goat year. Until 3 February 2027 the year is Bing Wu (丙午), the Fire Horse year. Chinese New Year 2027 is on 6 February, two days later.

Why the BaZi year does not start at Chinese New Year
The Chinese calendar new year follows the moon. BaZi follows the sun. Its year turns at Li Chun (立春), the Start of Spring, which usually falls around 3 to 5 February. In 2027 it falls on 4 February, which is before Chinese New Year on 6 February. If you were born between those two dates, your BaZi year may not be the one you expect from your zodiac animal, so it is worth checking the chart itself.
The Fire Goat year in plain words
Ding (丁) is Yin Fire (阴火). Think of a candle or a lamp, not a bonfire: a steady flame that lights a room. Wei (未) is Earth (土), the Goat. So 2027 is warm, steady Fire sitting on Earth. How that lands for you depends on your own chart.
